Dr. Andrew Sprague is an assistant professor in the Department of Physical Therapy at the University of Pittsburgh. He completed his Doctor of Physical Therapy and PhD in Biomechanics and Movement Science from the University of Delaware. His research focuses on the evaluation and rehabilitation of overuse injuries, with a specific emphasis on lower extremity tendons. The long-term objective of his research is to bridge the gap between tendon basic science and clinical research to optimize the treatment of tendon injuries through individualized load and recovery prescription. Within the Doctor of Physical Therapy Program, he teaches biomechanics and kinesiology, as well as the knee content within the musculoskeletal curriculum.
